With the development of the hand held digital recorder and internet file transfer protocol physicians are no longer bounded by the limitations of the hand held tape recorder. Because the file is digitized instead of analog you are able to upload to your computer for file transfer to our system.  There are many hand held digital recorders on the market today.  ANL's preferred digital recorder is the Olympus DS3000 or the UHER DH-10.  But our digital transcribers will accept a multitude of file formats.

Olympus DS3000

Removable SmartMedia Digital Recorder holds up to 22 hours of high-quality DSS audio.  Includes 16MB SmartMedia card for more than five hours of recording time. Built in USB interface to quickly transfer recorded voice data to a PC.

UHER DH-10

Removable CompactFlash Digital Recorder holds up to 4 hours of high-quality TrueSpeechTm file format audio.  Includes a 8MB CompactFlash card for up to 2 hours of record time.  Unit needs a CompactFlash card reader or PCMIA slot flash card adaptor to transfer files.
